Due to COVID-19 laws and restrictions, this Plymouth Public Schools (PPS) School Committee meeting will be held in a hybrid format with some participants meeting in-person at Central Office at 11 Lincoln Street, Plymouth, MA and some participants joining through a live Zoom call broadcast simultaneously from 11 Lincoln Street. This School Committee meeting will be broadcast live on Educational Access Programming (EDTV), and it will also be live-streamed on the PPS District YouTube Channel. The meeting will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The Public is encouraged to register to join the public meeting as a Zoom participant to provide public comment. If you wish to join the meeting to contribute live, public comment, you must pre-register with the Recording Secretary through this Google form: https://forms.gle/He1aUbcZc6hYYjRZ6. The comment registration period runs from public posting time of the agenda on Thursday, January 21 through 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021. All registrants will receive the Zoom link required in order to join the live meeting to provide public comments prior to the start time of the meeting on December 21st. Please note that all school committee meetings are recorded and most are broadcast live. All formal public comments are documented in the official meeting minutes. Public Comment Zoom Guidelines: Pre-registered commenters should plan to join the meeting at 6:30 p.m. Once you click the Zoom link, participants will be placed in a virtual waiting room while the Clerk verifies your registration. Once admitted into the meeting you will remain on mute until it is your allotted time to speak. Once the public comments commence, speakers will be unmuted and heard in the order they registered. The Clerk will guide the process. Zoom speakers will be required to hear audio and should plan to turn on their video. Also, if any public participants wish to communicate with the Clerk once you are in the Zoom meeting, you can make a request via the “chat” feature. Pursuant to Governor Baker’s March 12, 2020 Order suspending certain provisions of the Open Meeting Law, G.L. c. 30A, §18, and the Governor’s March 15, 2020 Order imposing strict limitations on the number of people that may gather in one place*, this meeting will be conducted both in-person and via remote participation by the members. Specific information and the general guidelines for remote participation by members of the public and/or parties with a right and/or requirement to attend this meeting can be found on the Town of Plymouth’s website, at https://www.plymouth-ma.gov/. For this meeting, members of the public who wish to watch the meeting live may do so by tuning into your Educational Access Programming channel (Channel 14 Comcast; Channel 45 Verizon) or on the Plymouth Public Schools YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/PlymouthEDTV/featured). No in-person attendance of the public will be permitted into the meeting in person, but the public can register to join the meeting via the Zoom portion of the meeting to provide public comment (see above). In compliance with Open Meeting Law, this agenda lists all topics that the chair reasonably anticipates, 48 hours in advance, will be discussed at the meeting.
